Representing the surreal dynamics of inner vision opens the world to fresh approaches. Combining a variety of artistic forms with a focus on the use of lines, Yvonne Cordoba shares passages and experiences from within her internal dreamscape. Exploring portals of characterization and a subjective perspective, Cordoba’s artistic renderings reveal subtle stories of an intimate subconscious that reflects her tangible elements. With the development of personal depth, Cordoba's images embody a realm of relativity through the refined techniques that have become the foundation for her expression.

While growing up in Miami, Cordoba learned develop an artistic approach in G. Holmes Braddock High School that was further refined at Miami-Dade College North Campus where she earned A.A. in the Fine Arts Program. After 4 years of focused artwork, Cordoba cites the styles of Salvador Dali, Frida Kahlo, H.R. Giger, the movie Great Expectation and her muse as artistic inspirations and personal motivators for her own pieces. As part of a community outreach project through Miami-Dade College North Campus, Cordoba submitted the selected design and worked with a team of artists who painted a mural in 2003 entitled "Leap Of Faith" on the Entrepreneurial Education Center in Liberty City. Yvonne has also displayed her work locally at various student art shows, as well as the Dade County Youth Fair. The Wallflower Gallery is proud to present Yvonne Cordoba as a featured artist for this 2004 Fine Art Exhibition.
