Playing with frequencies of light and color opens bandwidths of unusual spectrums. Sharing the vision of a 3-D perspective, Joe Raymond creates zones of amorphous shapes and textures through studied refinement and a fluid technique. Connecting with dream-like states of channeled trances, Raymond’s artistic creations awaken in the ultra-violet glow of blacklights and strobes. Raymond's paintings are rooted in a worldly awareness that our visual sense is broader than the general patterns of convention.

Raymond is a Colorado native who studied at The Colorado Institute of Art and earned a Certificate of Design from the Colorado Art Honor Association before moving to South Florida 15 years ago. After 20 years of painting and developing his artistic style, Raymond sites the works of Giger and Tool as revered motivators to push his abstract vision to new levels of creative insightfulness. Joe has also displayed his work locally at Gallerie Macabre and has been expanding his visual design and theatrical performance while working with The Wicked Screaming Squirts.
