Barbara Brooks
Interpersonal Portals
Pastels and Colored Pencil
Utilizing naturalistic powers, humanity opens realms of awareness that are
revealed when the mind touches the Divine source. Expanding conceptual thoughts
inside her global mosaic, Barbara Brooks details ideas and images within a
spiritual context of projected soul flowers. Channeling her innermost energy
with a tone of self-discovery, Brooks’ artistic reflections directs the mood
within her textured lines and shaded symbols to reach the cosmic depth. Brooks’
mandalas focus on the world inside each human soul and the conscious forces that
move through our beings.
"Creating artwork is a convergence of ideas and modes that impacts my
senses with symmetry and a sacred geometry. Mandalas allow energies to transcend
and cycle through me as elements of movement within the design."
Brooks is a Wisconsin native who learned to polish her artistic approach at
workshops instructed by Deborah Bartello and Judith Cornell. After 10 years of
working with enhancive forms, Brooks sites her Mother, Native American, Hindu
and Tibetan spiritual art as inspirational sources and guides for her own
creative explorations. Before focusing her energy in art, Brooks taught students
and raised a family.
This is Barbara’s first artistic exhibition and she plans to expand her
artistic scope with murals and other works that beautify walls with an inspired
touch.
