Artistic reflection offers both the artist and the viewer a medium to probe the different aspects of an idea through an image. With an eye for natural harmonics and social symmetry, Anibal Fernandez sites his works as a visual representation of the culmination of different sensations. With a fluid sense of form and a smoothness of shading, Fernandez creates peaceful ambiance with his detailed air-brush style, by adding warmth to the color.

Fernandez's paintings play with the open depth of the individual as a single entity on a spinning sphere. "My artwork comes to me from everyday living as I bring ideas together, like the pieces of a puzzle. I interpret the world through the eyes in my paintings - to share what I have learned."

Fernandez is a native of Uruguay who learned to refine his artistic style from Montevideo’s Art University - Escuele Nacional De Bellas Artes. After 20 years of painting, Fernandez sites nature and outer space as inspirational forces for his own pieces. Since he moved to Miami 7 years ago, his work has been displayed at Funktional Funk, the Broward County Library, the Uruguayan Artists of South Florida Exhibition in ‘96, ‘97, ‘98, and the Broward Art Guild where he won a Recognition Award for his piece "The Ant". Fernandez is currently expanding his creative scope with large murals and interior faux finishing.
