A Universe Discovered

A Macro Photography Exhibition

By

Aeric Moskowitz

Colorful combinations emerge with vibrant echoes when shades of hues sculpt textured foundations and explosive illusions. With an experimental mixture of lighting, shutter speed and composition, Aeric Moskowitz utilizes traditional photographic techniques and a unique perspective to capture images with a flair of artistic vision. By contrasting the scenic nature of the subject matter within its surroundings, Moskowitz’s pictorial visualizations expand the horizons of creative conveyance. Moskowitz's photographs explore the reflective dynamics of dimension and view within the delineated format of the rendered periphery.

"By approaching photography as a process of trial and error that includes mistakes and luck, I allow a certain freedom of the moment to enter into the creative experiment. With a playful tone that shapes various elements of photography, I pattern the contours progressively while pushing myself with a sense of wonder."

Before moving to South Florida in 1999, Moskowitz, a Long Island native, began his study of photography with guidance from his father, who initiated Aeric’s foundation for capturing imagery. After 20 years of focused attention towards photography, Moskowitz cites the works of Armando Gallo, Clyde Butcher, Annie Leibovitz and his father, Shelly Moskowitz, as creative beacons and inspirational guides for his own pieces. In addition to an Everglades Photography Exhibit that was presented at The Wallflower Gallery, Aeric has also displayed his work locally at the Everglades Fundraiser in 2000, the 5th Annual Medical Marijuana Benefit Concert at Tobacco Road and the American Cancer Society 2003 Charity Auction at The Forge. The Wallflower Gallery is proud to present Aeric Moskowitz as a featured artist for this Decorative Art Display.
